Dr Amy Yeung

Head of Cellular Services

The Cellular Services team is a core facility within Cellular Operations, delivering scalable, high-quality cell biology research in collaboration with Faculty groups to support the institute’s scientific mission.

I lead the Cellular Services team within Cellular Operations, where we deliver high-quality, large-scale cell biology research in partnership with Faculty groups to advance the institute’s scientific goals. Our project portfolio spans large-scale CRISPR and non-CRISPR screens, the development of novel organoid models from tissues and stem cells, and cell line engineering.

Cellular Services operates as a core facility, specialising in scalable experimental cell biology using complex cellular models. We collaborate closely with Faculty teams to design and deliver robust, reproducible projects. All experiments are fully documented in our bespoke Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELNs), ensuring traceability and high-quality data management.

We also work in partnership with Research Programmes and the Cellular & Gene Editing Research team to scale and validate new methodologies. In addition, we offer a comprehensive internal training programme and provide expertise and advice to support Faculty-led research.
